Xarma has continued to be refined based on our community feedback. The unit will be able to be configured as a stacked, indexed or combined unit. Each stack magazine holds 25 plates while the indexed shelves hold 10 plates. Both magazine types come in landscape or portrait orientation. This allows Xarma to be configured from 10 plates to 50 plates of capacity and still allow for internal processing units to be inserted. With the aide of the ultrasonic plate detector, a stack profile is determined during an inventory of the stack(s) which allows for mixed plate types in the stack. Full validated specifications will be posted on simbiotix.com once they become available. Xarma-Z TFM. The Tangential Functional Mover.
Current Design Specifications:
- Small footprint (Min. 10.5” Diameter X 52" H)
- Long stroke gripper allowing for Portrait and Landscape grip*
- 10 - 50 plate capacity
- Interchangeable magazines (2 Nests, landscape or portrait)**
Stacked plates (25 plates per magazine) Indexed shelving (10 removable shelves per magazine) Supports DW plates/tube racks and functional modules - Integrated Ultrasonic plate detection enabling mixed plate stacking (deepwells and microplates in the same stack)
- Integrated barcode reader
- 360 degree access/envelope
- Disposable microplate fingers
- Built in Collision Detection
- Synchronized XYZ Telescoping finger movement
- Moveable - Dockable system architecture
- Line Voltage 120/ 220 VAC 60/50 HZ
- Robotic and human access
- Extendible processing
- Extendible asset utilization
- Dedicated mover for the patented SciCore Automated Incubator US 7,395,133
The synchronized XYZ finger movement removes the need for a traditional gripper end effector thus enabling lighter payloads for the motors and simple kinematics. Xarma-Z TFM employs simplicity by having the fingers be the mover.
